With the rise of gas prices and airplane tickets, this might become the new option for getting across the ocean…
Some people make to do lists of the little things they need to complete within the week, or month… (mine right now would consist of readings, writing a couple letters, finishing a manual) but I decided to list the places I would like to visit (or revisit) in the future….
In no particular order:
– Argentina : Buenos Aires / Patagonia (again)
– China : Hong Kong / Great Wall / Bejing
– Greece : Athens
– Italy : Rome / Florence / Venice
– Spain : pretty much everywhere (again)
– South Africa
And things to do:
– learn Italian
– own a gallery / art studio
– live half the year in Europe and the other half in the States
As teh days go on, undoubtedly this list will grow (and hopefully things will be checked off!)
It’s official! I now have tickets into London on July 31st with the CRL fellows and then out of Madrid on August 15th… that means 4 wonderful days in beautiful Spain after England.
Now it’s booking a flight on EasyJet, a hostal in Madrid for the night, a bus to Segovia and I’m back in my Spanish home.
From the Puerta del Sol blog:
There’s an increasing number of “pedias” on the Web, and now we have Madripedia, which aims to become the biggest ever Madrid-based encyclopaedia (in what’s probably a limited field). It follows Cordobapedia, which has done the same thing for Córdoba since 2005, and which now has 3,700 entries (Madripedia only has 850+ so far). So it’s over to you! Any experts in cocido madrileño out there?
An article from Spain’s newspaper, El Pais, (in Spanish) about the Madripedia.
If this doesn’t make it worse… doesn’t this television commercial currently playing on Spain networks just call out to you?
Andalucia… te quiere.
